About Jumplyx

Jumplyx is an independent educational guide to stargazing and the night sky. Each topic is presented in seven short sections: an overview, what you will see, when and where to look, what equipment helps, how to observe, common mistakes to avoid, and a set of frequently asked questions.

The goal is plain language. We write for anyone who steps outside after dark and wants to understand what they are looking at — whether it is a first look at the Moon, the planets, the constellations, or the deep-sky objects beyond them.

The guide is organised into five regions — Getting Started, Planets & the Moon, Constellations & Stars, Deep-Sky Objects, and Observing Techniques — so readers can browse by category or jump straight to a topic.

Jumplyx is a guide to astronomy, not astrology. We describe the night sky factually and do not cover horoscopes, zodiac signs, or fortune-telling. The site is run independently and does not sell telescopes or equipment, and does not accept payment for listings. Content is provided for general information and education only.
